I’ll start off by saying how incredible "My Magic Holiday"  were with us, from the moment we arrived at the ferry port in Hull they were there to keep us relaxed and nothing was too much trouble, they checked us in whilst we settled onto the coach. We were greeted by our driver who helped us with our bags and loaded them onto the coach for us. We then boarded the ship and begun our holiday! Mattie and his colleagues were professional, friendly and very informative.

Once we arrived into Bruge we headed off the ferry to the coach where Mattie and his colleagues were waiting for us, our bags were already on the coach, so simple! During the journey Mattie told us everything we needed to know about Disney and answered any questions we had regarding Disney, he is like a Google for Disney! They handed out some sweeties and Juice for the children (big and small). Once we arrived at our Hotel The Santa Fe, we checked in and took our luggage to our room. The room was a lovely themed room, Cars! Even the laps were traffic cones! It was immaculate, we had a large TV and two double beds for two adults and a 3 year old, as you can imagine she thought this was INCREDIBLE!

Everyone seems to love Disney right? Whether that be the newly acquired franchises of Star Wars or Marvel, everyone is seemingly linked to a product that Disney own in one way or another.

But what I want to talk about, is what opened the door to the world of Disney for me.

What I mean by this Is, what was my first memory of Disney, which had an impact on my life and made me fall in love with the brand on a whole.

We hear a lot from customers questions about how their children may be too young for a trip to Disney. This conversation usually takes place when a child is under 4 years of age, however I thought it would be interesting for you to share my experience with my nephew/neice and their Disney trips.

I wouldn’t want anyone’s children’s age, to put them off a magical experience not just for the children but for all the family.

Disneyland Paris Deluxe style!

My last trip to Disney I went to Disneyland Paris back in October of 2016 and I always wanted to go to Disney while it was all Halloween themed as Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year and I knew that they would be more of the Disney villains walking around in the crowd to get signatures and photos with.

Disney Cruise Line was my FIRST experience on a large ship, and I wanted to go through my experience as I was extremely apprehensive about doing it, and now I am HOOKED!!!

This is going back to 2014, we were originally booked for 13 nights At Disney World on site with 2 nights at the Hard Rock at the end.

Having done some looking about at Disney Cruise’s I found a 3 night Cruise on the Disney Dream which was a steal…. Should I book it?

There is a HUGE stigma among the frequent Orlando fans that using a Travel Agent is a rip off.

I think the best response to this is, you have been using the wrong travel agent!

We all know the high street multiples such as Thomas Cook and Thomsons, which do try their hardest, but with limited knowledge and experience it doesnt build a lot of confidence in the customer.

My motto is 'If the customer knows more than you, you don’t deserve the booking'

Disneyland Paris gets mixed reviews by everyone.

Although it isnt as big as Florida, there is definately some magic in Paris for me.

We first went a few weeks after it opned in 1992. I was 7 at the time.

I was already a bit of a Disney nut, as in 1989 the Little Mermaid movie had touched my heart like nothing ever has before ( I will blog on this).

My mum was a big Disney fan also as was my little sister.

A Royal Engagement

We recently returned from Orlando where we stayed at Disney World and did an amazing cruise, however I took the opportunity to propose to my partner at Cinderella’s Royal table. For those of you who don’t know that is the most popular restaurant in the world of Walt Disney World. Why? Because its actually in the castle. I booked the meal about 8 months in advance and pre paid for this, it was around $120 for the both of us which I didn’t think was bad considering it’s the most sought after place to eat in Magic Kingdom.

Around 6 months before arrival I got in touch with Disney weddings, honeymoons and engagements and they went through everything with me for the engagement package. All I had to do was give them my dining reservation number, as well as a few personal options and I was all set.

On arrival into the restaurant we had a photo with Cinderella before entering the main restaurant which sits high in the castle with beautiful panoramic views of the park. As we were getting engaged (unknown to my partner) we were seated on a private table with fantastic views of the magic Kingdom and our waiter came over to take our food order.

Doing Disney the right way

Its most families dream to be able to take their children to Florida, and with prices of holidays to Spain becoming increasingly more in costs the difference in cost is becoming minimal. And a LOT of families are beginning to realise a trip to Disney I no longer a dream it can become reality.

Everyones holiday expectations are different, however in my opinion there is only 1 way to do it for the first time. And that’s to stay on site in a Disney Resort hotel.

I have been to Florida many times, ive stayed on International drive, in a villa and on site at Disney. The difference in cost between on site and off site is priceless, and when Disney have their free dining offer it really is an aoutstanding offer. Not only are you getting your food on site (which is renound for being extremely expensive) your also getting a world known Disney hotel with their impeccable service.

After looking around at LOADS of travel agents, it was clear that Mattie was the only one that we'd want to trust our 'biggest-and-best-trip-yet' to our 'Happly Place' - fantastic service, extremely knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to book with! The guy obviously loves his job, and his enthusiasm shines through.

Rob Morton
