1 Night in the Grand Floridian

So the Grand Floridian is the flagship resort at Walt Disney World, and for first timers to Disney, the ferry crossing to the Magic Kingdom (or monorail trip) offers impressive views of this beautiful hotel.

Many would love to stay in this hotel, the location, restaurant’s and facilities make it incredibly desirable, however it does come with a high cost.

Last year I was Lucky enough to stay for 1 night at this hotel, and this is a little blog about my experience at this magnificent hotel. And it truly does live up to its reputation.

I personally see this question being asked on social media forums, and get asked by customers all the time, so i thought it would be really useful to put it into words, why i would always say if its in budget - stay at Disney!

Staying on site at Disney is obviously more expensive than staying off site on International Drive, as Disney is a premium product, that comes with added benefits.  I thought I would give you the top 5 reasons why you should consider paying the extra to stay in a Walt Disney World hotel for your next trip to Orlando.

Caribbean beach Resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando has had some controversy over the past few years, and if I’m honest I do think it was blown out of proportion judging how much work Disney are currently doing at the number one tourist destination in the world.

A Brief History of My Magic Holiday

How did it all start?
It all started out of a passion for Disney and Orlando holidays from Mattie, who has been going on Disney holidays since he was very young.
Then while Mattie was managing the largest independent Travel agent in East Yorkshire a few years ago, he started to get a bit of a name for himself locally as the go to guy for Orlando and Disney.

Why book Orlando in advance!

Why booking a holiday to Orlando in advance has its advantages!

There are many of us who still believe in the ‘late deal’ trend that appears to have become a staple of holidays overseas. The truth is, these days, late deals are not always ‘deals’ and you can actually get yourself something better by booking in advance.

We hear a lot from customers questions about how their children may be too young for a trip to Disney. This conversation usually takes place when a child is under 4 years of age, however I thought it would be interesting for you to share my experience with my nephew/neice and their Disney trips.

I wouldn’t want anyone’s children’s age, to put them off a magical experience not just for the children but for all the family.

My Favourite Walt Disney World Hotel

In my two years of working in Walt Disney World, I had the opportunity to visit and to stay at the majority of the hotels that they have to offer. Each hotel varies so much in the theming and décor, but if I had to narrow down to just one, my favourite hotel would have to be the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

As Hurricane Irma approaches, it is unfortunately looking increasingly like it will hit central Florida.

It is important to be prepared for a Hurricane, especially one that has reached extremely high wind speeds, as Irma has.

Right now, as of September 5, it is still uncertain the exact impact the storm will have on Florida, but it is important to be prepared for the worst-case scenario.

Hopefully this brief post will help!

The National Weather Service has considered Walt Disney World a StormReady Community multiple times, so if the storm does come this way it is one of the safer places you could be in the area, but that doesn’t mean you should be unprepared.
