Why we don’t do email quotes.



Here at My Magic Holiday, we do get people emailing us for quotes, or messaging us for quotes via email. Unfortunately we don’t do any quotes via email, and there is reason for this, and it’s for reasons in which benefits YOU our customers and your whole experience with My Magic Holiday.



1.       No personality

If we were to email quotes to people, it’s much harder to get to know the client, build a rapport and have a general conversation. Here at My Magic Holiday were a friendly bunch of people and we most definitely don’t bite. We make recommendations and can answer any impending questions via the telephone, which is much harder over email. Plus you get to know your booking agent, with the reassurance that the person you’re speaking to knows exactly what they are doing. It’s not robotic and makes the booking experience much more personal.



2.       Time

We can put together a quote over the phone within a few minutes usually, looking at live prices and availability to make sure you getting the best price. Typing up an email is extremely time consuming, and there is more room for error.



3.       FREE telephone number & late opening hours

We have a FREE telephone number at My Magic Holiday (0800 3277108) and have late opening hours. Our free number was recently introduced so more people have the ability to call us, without getting a phone bill! Our opening hours are also late, so that everyone who works 9-5 or funny shifts is able to have an opportunity to call us!

 

These opening hours are:

Mon – Fri 10am – 9pm

Saturdays 10am – 4pm

 

These later hours mid-week also means that on an evening you can get the kiddies to bed, and give us a call from the comfort of your own living room, so you can keep everything a surprise.

 

We do experience high call volumes at peak times however 11 out of 12 months a year, you can get through within a few minutes of calling.



4.       Live pricing

When you get a quote from us, like any holiday company the price is only valid for the duration of the call. This is because flight prices, and hotel availability can change in-between getting a quote and booking. So we realise that sending an email quote isn’t necessarily going to be the same price when you call up to get confirmed. So in theory it is a bit of wasted time sending over an email quote.

All prices we quote over the phone are live and available at that time.

We can also discuss low deposits/payment plans etc verbally so you know your payment options best to suit you.



5.       Requotes become messy

If you have had a quote from us verbally, sometimes we get emails asking for tweaks or adjustments, however no requotes are done via email either. As per the points above, prices may have changed, and we quote live availability. If we email a requote we are going against point 1 where we lose the customer interaction/personality and bespoke outlook on your dream holiday.

If we started emailing requotes back and forth, it can get confusing, not only for us, but for a customer and again there is more room for error. By error we don’t mean us doing something wrong, we mean that someone may misinterpret something that’s included that isn’t or get a detail incorrect, where on the phone we can clarify what is exactly inc in a quote/requote.



6.       We have LOTS of ways to search for your holiday

Unlike calling one of the big tour operators, who will quote you one of their own package holidays with their own flights, we use ALL airlines and all hotels etc. This means that our searches are more labour intensive to make sure we get you the right price. We have had from experience email quotes we have beaten/matched and offered our additional services and not even had an acknowledgement of receipt from the customer. Which is incredibly frustrating when you have looked into a bespoke quote.

Having lots of ways to search for you holiday gives us the ability to be extremely competitive, as well as providing our expert advice and additional services.



 7.       Our experience and knowledge exceeds that of many other companies

Here at My Magic Holiday, we are ALL Disney & Orlando enthusiasts and visit Disney destinations at least twice a year. One of us has worked at Disney World, one of us has been to Disneyland Paris over 72 times, done multiple Disney Cruises, stayed in all the Walt Disney World hotels between us and much more. When getting a price from us, we can explain many benefits of different hotels/resorts you may be looking at, as well as make other invaluable recommendations. On top of this we offer a FREE planning service which some companies charge up to £300 for on a 14 night duration. As per with point 1, none of our experience or expertise is clearly demonstrated when doing an email quote. It is completely robotic and not the way in which we wish to interact with customers.



These are the main reasons we don’t do email or messenger quotes, and we understand this may not be for everyone, but it is how we work to make sure all of our customers get the best experience from booking with us.

You also keep the same agent from booking until the day you come home, so there’s no inconsistency with someone having to check your booking and requirements before you ask additional questions throughout the whole experience.

 

We are extremely proud of our skills, knowledge and prices that we can offer and to keep those standards up it means no email or messenger quotes.


We hope this explains how we work and the reasons why we don’t do email quotes, mainly for the benefit of YOU our customers.
